My husband and I booked 2 nights and stayed for 5.The hotel was very well located-not far from station and several bus connections close by.The room was large, the air-conditioning was great-(it was hot at the time)-and the breakfast was simply superb. The hotel had a large garden where one could eat breakfast or evening meal-and it was a good menu. The price ?88 euro per night was very satisfactory. The staff were always polite and helpful. Our room had a kettle and tea and coffee-but it seemed as if they only intended it as a welcome kit-the cups were removed after one day and the milk was not replaced--it might be better to replace this.-a small but important matter for us.

We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2008 and for about 80-90 EUR per night. Our family had booked 2 rooms, 1 for 2 persons and another for 3 persons(this room was separated by the hallway & bathroom to allow the 3rd person a little privacy). Our rooms were both quite spacious and clean. The bed and comforter were very comfortable. Bathrooms were nothing fancy, but clean with good hot water supply, clean towels, simple toiletries and fabulous water pressure. Location was quite convenient to some of the sights. A slight walk to Old town but very manageable. Their front desk assisted us with booking a sound of music tour. The front desk is odd that it manages two best western hotels. One side of the counter is the stiegbrau and the other is a newer best western. One of our rooms faced the train tracks. You could hear it running regularly but we were not too bothered by it (we were on the top floor) A few complimentary things like parking, breakfast and internet availability made the pricing of the hotel even better. Breakfast was nice with fresh breads, cereal, fresh & precut fruit, sliced meats and cheeses, sausage, bacon, eggs and fresh juices. Overall a nice stay especially given the price.
