Stayed at the Achat for 3 nights in mid April. It is a little way out but a pleasant walk if the weather is nice. The reception staff were helpful and the breakfasts good if you like fruit etc.. but a limited choice of hot stuff. The room was of a good size, clean and the bed comfortable. The shower in the bathroom broke so we had to change rooms. The one we were given was not as big and a bit stuffy as there was no window in the bathroom and the radiator was full on. Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel as there is a lot less road noise than at the front or side. Overall nothing to really complain or get excited about. Salzburg is a nice place but we were a little disappointed in the lack of food choice. If you like Italian you will be in heaven but if you fancy a nice big juicy steak you will do well to find one at a restaurant. Catch the No 25 bus to Uttenberg and do the cable car ride to the top of the mountain (19 euros ) the view is fantastic !
