Guest Rooms Wielopole - Krakow, Poland 

We chose this hotel because of comments on Trip Advisor and can honestly say most were spot on. This hotel is a lovely small hotel quite close to the center of Krakow, opposite a large Holiday Inn. We booked our rooms direct with the hotel, no deposit to pay and didn't pay for rooms until departure I'll start with the room - at front of hotel on second floor quite large and very clean and comfortable, we were not disturbed at all by noise and I must say slept very soundly on the really comfortable beds. Bathroom spotless with the best power shower I've ever used. Breakfast - yummy. Plenty of selection with the usual toast, cereals etc. It was always being topped up with fresh produce by the lovely staff, try toasting the warm Polish bread - delicious, also loads of fruit, Yoghurts, cakes, juices, tea and coffee. Staff & reception - very friendly staff throughout hotel and the tea & coffee in reception with the little biscuits was a nice touch. Also free map. Krakow is a lovely place, the gardens (Plantys) which seem to circle the city center are beautiful. Sights to see - Wawel Castle is so pretty and the main square is huge. But a must is visiting Auschwitz & Birkenau. Everyone should visit these places especially Birkenau which to us was the more moving of the two camps - take a tip and make your own way on a bus but do not get a return ticket, its cheaper and more convenient to buy singles and go early, we spent almost 8 hours there and could have easily spent more time there. To conclude - Krakow is a great city break , beautiful, friendly and three days was not enough time, we shall certainly revisit - especially to the Wielopole.

Stayed in a clean and comfy single room. Great location very close to the main square. Near to station.
