We originally had booked a room with the Libertel in the Canal St. Martin area, but the hotel was overbooked and we were moved to the Montmartre location. Although we were skeptical (and frustrated for being moved), the room was surprisingly clean and very modern. Beware to claustrophobes however....the comfort room was very, very small.
Also, if you receive the comfort room on the bottom floor with the patio door, make sure the cleaning staff or hotel management is told to keep the door closed. We came back to our room 3 out of 5 nights to find this door open to the patio...luckily none of our belongings were missing.

The room was small (as most of them in Paris) but clean and recently renovated (at least the room I was in). It was a ground floor double room so we could not use the window. Noise on the street was at an acceptable level. The hotel is quite in a red-district zone but we didn't feel there was any danger walking around event late in the night. For 65euros per night (without breakfast) it was OK (for Paris) but I wouldn't pay more for such a room. The bathroom had almost no ventilation and although the aircondition was working, I don't think it was bringing in any fresh air. The internet access was not working in the hotel and the TV had less than 10 channels. On the positive site: the staff was polite and the location of the hotel is quite good (and that is important if you plan to move around all day long). Don't go there is you mind walking in front of sex shops and strip clubs - you can hardly avoid them.
