Sodehotel La Woluwe is a 4-star hotel, located 7 minutes by taxi from the centre and 7 minutes from the airport. All of our rooms were completely refurbished at the end of 2001. All of our rooms have Pay TV, minibar, trouser press, hairdryer in the bathroom and air conditioning. All of our guests have free transportation to and from the airport. I managed to get an excellent rate at this hotel - € 80 - I guess that as it was a Sunday night, they were not too busy.
My only dissapointment was that when I arrived, at around 7pm, there was nobody on duty, I had to go looking and it was several minutes before the receptionist arrived. I guess this is a common problem in Belgium, the labour laws are quite strict, it is difficult lo sack people, so as a consequence, hotels are usually run with an absolute minimum of staff.
This issue aside, the hotel proved to be very comfortable, had free WiFI so that I could work effectively without being gouged for it.
The breakfast is good too, plenty of choice and a comfortable dining room. I would certainly stay here again, providing I wasn't paying the full whack - around 250 € is the usual rate.
