Pension Elizabeth was a VERY clean bright place to stay for a few nights that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. For once a hotel actually looked like the pics posted on their website. The old town is easily accessed by the bus stop across the street and it's approx.10 minute ride. Even though you're only 10 minutes away it feels like you're in the suburbs. If you're bothered by the noise of traffic , I suggest you request a room facing the back. Breakfast was basic but fresh. There is an internet cafe next door and a grocery store a few minutes away. I recommend you go to the museum of modert art while visiting Salzburg. Not only does it have excellent exhibitions, it also has fantastic views of the old town including the Fortress. The Museum Cafe was very good and had panoramic views.
