Hotel Castel Fragsburg - Merano, Italy 

We stayed at Fragsburg for the 2nd time ( the 1st was in 05 ) and we truly could not wait to return . This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Italy . We had room 221 , which overlooked snow capped mountains and had a small balcony .and included a separate reading area attached to the bedroom. The room was extremely clean , well appointed , very comfortable bed and PILLOWS..that ensure a great rest. The restaurant and attached terrace also had panoramic views. The staff were delightful , knowledgeable , attentive and very helpful. You could not expect more. The food in the restaurant was exceptional with dinner being a 6 course meal . Breakfast was of a very high standard. This hotel is a gem. We would return in a flash. That says everything.

We stayed at Castle Fragsburg for three nights the stay was wonderful. The room was a good size with a possible one of the most stunning views possible from a hotel. Breakfasts are very generous; the chef will cook what ever you want for breakfast. There is also a good selection of fruit, cereals, bread (all home made) and juices. I'd recommend half board, as dinner is of a very high standard although I fell the potions were a bit small. The staffs are very helpful and friendly and speak good English. My only criticism is that towels are changed every day, some times twice if you’ve had a shower before dinner, which is rather unnecessary
