Hotel Altpradl - Innsbruck, Austria 

Our stay here for 4 nights was punctuated by both positives and negatives. On arrival we unfortunately found the reception less then helpful. Our room was basic but clean. There is no fridge or information available in the room regarding the hotel or surrounding area. At night the noise is almost unbearable - we resorted to closing the shutters and windows, however found this difficult given the stale smell in the room. Overall - we probably would try to stay somewhere else next time...

As mentioned in the previous review, the Alt-Pradl is an OK hotel. My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights in late December 2007, and booked it given the ok reviews, and the fact that it was the only reasonably priced hotel that we could find in Innsbruck for that period. A little difficult to find on foot from the train station when we arrived, but once we got oriented the location was fine and an easy walk to the city centre. The room and hotel overall were abit small and old fashioned - quaint, yeah ok - but still small and old fashioned, and abit noisy. Free internet in the lobby was great, and the staff at the front desk were excellent - helpful and very friendly. Overall the hotel was fine for our purposes with no real problems, but not really our thing either....
