"Tiroler Rostbraten" (roast) and "gebratener Berglammrücken" (lamb). Light fish dishes and creative desserts are also served.

We prepare the house special "Tiroler Zopfbraten mit Spinatknödel" according to an original recipe by the famous Philippine Welser, which dates from 1560.

This place was a dump. The room was horrific. The noise from outside kept us awake most of the time. If you don't mind sleeping from 1:00am to 5:00 am you will be ok. I like to sleep alittle longer on vacation. The mattress had no boxspring, the mini bar fridge did not work, the lock was drilled out of the safe, and the shower vacillated from cold to scalding without notice. For 158 euros a night, I expect more. The Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg was a 1000 times better.

This hotel is located right at the edge of town center. It is a bit difficult to locate if you're driving because it is in the pedestrian zone. The rooms are charming, with Tirolian decor & there is a computer for guest use. Staff were helpful, although a bit harried. The breakfast was very good & we ate at the hotel restaurant & had the asparagus special. It is aspargus season at this time of year & all the restaurants have specials (these are not necessarily low cal as they often include bacon & cheese)! The hotel also offers discounted parking at the garage a couple of blocks away.
