This is a bare-bones place but at the low price, it delivers on value, and is a good option if you have to make an early flight. Rooms are clean, good-sized with adequate if modest amenities. Free wireless internet (available in public areas) a big plus. Airport shuttle service was reliable and free. You just have to know that pick up is provided by C & K Service located near the baggage claim. Drop off to the airport provided every half hour. Breakfast was modest, but food of very good quality. Coffee and cappuccino from a machine but surprisingly good. At only 7 Euros, a fine bargain. Other than breakfast, no food service except snacks and drinks, but hotel is just a 10 to 15 minute walk into the nearby town of Fischamend. There you can get an excellent fish dinner at reasonable cost (15 euros). One drawback: It was an inconvenience not having a phone in the room. There’s a cordless phone you can check out from the desk, but that doesn’t help if you’re expecting a call, and since my international phone service didn’t provide access to this area, it was a problem.

I've stayed at this hotel one night between two flights with Austrian Airlines; no extra charge on top of the plane ticket so I can't honestly tell if it's "worth the money". It's more of a motel, very close to the Vienna airport, at the city limits of Fischamend (a very nice township, population around 4,500). The rooms are OK, the bathroom rather small and no air conditioning (as most European hotels), but you may open a very large window. Only one TV channel in English (plus the Asian CNBC by night, until 7 AM). The sound insulation is rather poor, many room doors have to make noise in order to close them. There are no phones in the rooms, the check-out process is just leaving the keys on the reception desk (with a notice in the airport van to give them to the driver if forgotten). The breakfast is OK and included, in an area that becomes smoke-free between 6 and 10 AM for this purpose. You may get (as in purchase) drinks and sandwiches from the reception. There is a free airport shuttle (less than 15 minutes each way), each hour I guess. It's a nice walk (weather permitting) to Fischamend if you look for a restaurant (not necessarily open on Sundays!) or just to see an Austrian small town (Fischa is a river crossing it). You could take a local train to Vienna (the station is maybe one mile away) or a cab - that's around 40 EUR each way for the taxi. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay between flights or for a bus tour including Vienna. If you want to spend more time in Vienna than it's too far away - one must consider the daily travel time and expenses that would add up on top of the room rates.
