The Big Sleep Hotel - Cheltenham, United Kingdom     

I've never been to a hotel quite like this before. Left me feeling like it was quite a surreal experience! It is an old government building which has been revamped into a very modern hotel. It lacks character and charm but the rooms are really quite lovely and comfortable if you like the modern feel, think Ikea! There is not much of a view and parking was a bit of a problem when we turned up... the underground car park was full so we had to drive round to a very narrow space to the rear of the hotel. The staff were aloof and quite cold, but still efficient... a little like robots! We had a nice stay in our comfortable room, it was just for a night and the price was reasonable. If there were a little more personality to the place it would improve dramatically. To sum up, good for a stopover and in a handy position of town.

We arrived late after noon The hotel was quiet difficult to find even having a map,it was down a little back lane,being on a motor bike did help. We were able to park in the under ground car park great security for the bike, Check in was efficient The room was a bit plastic but the bed comfortable and clean, The shower room and bathroom area was exceptional like a huge wet room,we had booked a pent house so the room was very spacious. It was June and the room was extremely hot all night the windows did not open wide enough to let in any breeze,we did not sleep well We expected some kind of air conditioning but there was none. Very central to town and we found a nice restaurant,and had a wonder round,the shops.
