Hotel Alpenblick details: Hotel Alpenblick is a friendly hotel and one of those most panoramic in Bad Gastein, with a fantastic view over the valley and the Alps. The hotel Alpenblick is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Bad Gastein, in a altitude of 1050 m. The Graukogel lift for skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer is close to the hotel. And you just walk 10 minutes to reach the center of Bad Gastein with the famous water fall and the Casino. Or you take the city bus before the house door.

This is the first time that my friend and I have stayed at the Alpenblick in Bad Gastein for a skiing holiday The family hotel is very welcome It is comfortable, food is good and plenty of it and the hotel views are wonderful! The SPA and the swimming pool view over the whole valley are great .We found this hotel through the Crystal brochure and we will try to persuade our wives and families to come with us next year. As regards the snow - much said about poor snow in Austria - not true! Thank you Alpenblick and we come again the next year.

As my title suggests, this hotel was up there with Fawlty Towers!!! On arrival, we were ushered into a room that could only be described as going back to the 1920's and one could bearly move around for all the dated, rikety furniture. The hotel messed up our reservation and could not understand where we were coming from even though our German friend tried to in vain, we were left with no other choice but to move our luggage ourselves to our correct room the next day. The food was brutal, we decided it was easier to dine out, as for the staff, I really cannot put into words how bad they were and seemed to have a set against us all in the end!! It is miles away from the ski slopes, we taxied it every day and it lacked any kind of personality or ambiance, you would be waiting a long time to check in if you did so midday, no one in reception at all. Please, please and I mean it, do not stay here, you have been warned........
