BEWARE: The lift in this hotel opens mid way up the staircase. The lift landing is small and inadequate. I saw a guest get out of the lift and fall down the stairs seriously injuring herself with broken bones. The hotel is tired looking, but ok. I asked for a quiet room and was given a noisy room (perhaps they are all noisy)! Beware the stairs as you exit the lift - they are extremely dangerous.

We booked this hotel because of it's location; right across the street from Gare du Nord. It met our needs for the two nights we stayed, and there are several really nice restaurants very close nearby. Yes, it's a little worn, but you weren't expecting the Four Seasons, were you?
