Location:
The hotel is closer to Ciampino Airport if you arrive by Ryanair. Upon arrival, we called the hotel from airport and they kindly agreed to pick us up by Hotel shuttle bus - only 10mins. (which they didn't offer when I called from UK).- Strange but true. I guess it depends on how many nights you're staying there. But, no harm to ask. It will cost 1.20euro each way by local bus, but the problem of going there yourself is that you will need to wait long (very crowded) and change at bus-stop near Anagnina Metro first (Last stop of Line-A: Red) and then take bus 46, 506, 507 to hotel. (2nd stop - press the button! when you see IKEA on your RHS). Area around here looks 'crippy' at night from 9pm, full of people selling 'legal-stuff??'. Hotel is not a walking distance from Metro.
From hotel to Rome, cross the road opposite at the far side (to the left) and wait for same buses, the next one is the last stop. depending on the waiting time, this will take about 5-10 minutes. Each trip cost 1 euro which can last 75minutes each way (for both metro+bus). Anagnina Metro is the last stop, so you will get the seat anyway and Rome city is about 16-20 stations away, each stop about 1 min. Not so bad, it takes you to Vatican straight too for just 20 mins. However, due to Eng. works, the Metro service will cease from 9pm to Anagnina. There are replacement buses MA1, MA2, but we didn't dare to take bcs of uncertainty of safety at late night around Anagnina station.
Hotel:
1st impression, it is very clean throughout and spacious room. Aircondition-controlled and you can open the window widely, since it is only 3 floors high but long corr (e.g like a ship). We stayed at the 3rd floor which is very good view opposite IKEA.
Strong shower and hairdryer provided. Buffet Breakfast enough to fill you for the morning (ham, chees, eggs, bacon...) but after 2nd days, felt a bit ill for the same food. (go around 8-9am the best time)
I wouldn't class this Hotel as 4 stars bcs of the limited facility offered. (more like 3/3.5) No tea, coffee provided in the room and not so much facility like gym, pool or even a bar??. TV channels - only can received BBC worldnews, the rest all in other languages. This got to be improve!!! otherwise is bored to stay here. Hotel lift system is quite good but all others floor 7-10 are fake. Rooms were facilitated will internet connection for 3 euros.
Staff are friendly but not so accomodating. I guess, it is the Italian attitude. However, 'Roberto' (with specs) is quite nice to arrange shuttle bus for us the last day to Airport and we gave the driver some tips. (But ask at the point of check-out and allow extra 45 minutes waiting time, in case there is a big tourist group arrives on the same time if you were to travel around 5-6pm evening).
There is small shoping area next door and you can buy some local foods and drinks/water/lemontea (cheaper) here b4 you go to Rome. Eat in Rome before come back bcs all shops closed around 8pm in hotel area.
Advices:
Whataver you eat/drink, seat-in/takeway, make sure you ASK for the price first. We're charged for 5 euros!! for teas each in the small cafe shop which offers local pasta - 6 euros. (We thought the pasta price were reasonable, so didn't asked for the price of the beverage at that point). It seems like italian has the habit to 'con' your money if you're not careful. However, some proper Restra-bar offers really nice foods with very reasonable price. Some offers the 'Happy hour' btw 7-9pm where you just order a drink and you can eat the small buffet in the bar. Normally, they will charge 1.5 euros/p if you eat in.
Overall, if you don't mind the trouble to travel, this hotel would be ideal because itis far from noisy area in Rome and hotel standard considered quite good if compared with others.
Buy Roma Pass (20 euros/p) if you intend to travel around for 3 days and it offers 2 free entrance to Mus. and you got discount the following entry. Read Hotel mag. for Essential part. so you will not miss out the details.

We stayed at Hotel Anagnina at the beginning and the end of our trip to Italy. We chose the hotel based on its proximity to Ciampino airport for a late-evening arrival and an early morning departure.
Upon arrival at Ciampino, we took the bus to the Anagnina Metro station (1.20 Euro). From there we walked to the hotel, which I would not really recommend for everyone, as you have to cross the entrance and exit ramps of a major highway. There are several buses you can use instead.
Check-in was fairly quick and efficient. Carpets in the hallways could certainly use a good cleaning, but the room itself was spacious, adequately furnished and generally in good condition and clean.
The breakfast buffet was included in our rate and was above average. For dinner we walked to nearby “Juan de Marco”, a popular restaurant: not too cheap, but the food was excellent.
Wired Internet access is available for a moderate fee, and the McDonald’s next door has free WLAN access.
If you travel by car, parking is available for free in the underground garage of the shopping center (open from 8 am to 9:30 pm), or in front of the hotel after 7 pm. It takes about 10-20 minutes to get to the airport depending on traffic.
