Stayed here for a long weekend to help celebrate my husbands birthday and we had a super time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The staff laid a lovely birthday table for our evening meal on our arrival on the friday ,complete with streamers and party poppers!! and were very attentive. The food was lovely ,and there was something to suit everybody including choice for vegetarians.
The rooms were adequate and our family room for myself my husband and youngest daughter was huge thus giving us plenty of space for all our bits and bobs and daughters toys. The view of the harbour was lovely though you did have to strain your neck a bit to see it. The only thing that we missed was a shower in the bathroom , but to be honest it was rather a nice change to have baths instead of showers and helped to make us more relaxed . our older children and their partners were all pleased with their rooms, and thought the hotel had loads of character. Bit of a haul with the bags to our rooms but good exercise really!
We only discovered Lynmouth about 5 years ago but have fallen in love with it and it is so lovely not to have to battle with crowds as its so peaceful here. We went on a boat trip around the bays and also tried our hand at horseriding which was great fun and only a few minutes away in the car. Watersmeet is another beauty spot in lynmouth, we spent a fabulous day walking by the water and through the woods. The railway up to lynton is also fun especially on a clear day when the views are spectacular. At the end of a busy day it was great to come back to a friendly hotel where nothing was too much trouble. A good hotel doesnt need to be ultra modern or top notch to be good , just needs to have that secret ingredient that the Bath hotel certainly has.I think if you are happy people you will be happy at the Bath hotel !
