Express By Holiday Inn Berlin City Centre - Berlin, Germany     

I have stayed in Express by Holiday Inn hotels before so knew what to expect. The price was good & the rooms were clean & large enough. We used public transport or walked all of the time we were there & felt that this hotel was a convenient place for everything. It is very close to rail stations & bus stops. As you might expect in germany the public transport system is very efficient. You can get a free map from the receptionists at the hotel which shows you the different train lines so that you know which station to head towards. Checkpoint Charlie, Potzdammer Platz, anhalter bahnhof are all within a comfortable walking distance. We walked to the Brandenburg Gate easily from this hotel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of food & variety. I would definitely return to this hotel for future Berlin trips.

Stayed here the first weekend in July. Having stayed in their Prague hotel before we knew what to expect – no safes in the room, no extra pillows and slightly too small duvets. The room was slightly smaller than the one we had in Prague but still plenty big enough for 2 people. We arrived at lunch time on the Friday and a room was available despite it being 3 hours before check-in time. Our room was on the 4th floor at the end of the corridor and faced the inner courtyard so was very quiet at night. Had no trouble getting a table at breakfast on Saturday morning but did have to queue on Sunday. Had minimal interaction with the staff but they all seemed friendly enough and spoke English. Location was OK – about a 10 minute walk to Potsdamer Platz and 5 minutes to the S-bahn station up the road.
