The Art-Hotel Charlottenburger Hof is a personally run 3 stars hotel (DeHoGa classification). Built in 1895 as residential building, since 1950 the house was run by the owners as a hotel in the style of a traditional pension.
In 1984 Mr. Martin Mumme bought the building and made year by year a lot of investments to adapt the hotel to the needs of nowadays and the todays level of technology. The result is a modern furnished hotel in a traditional building, a restaurant working 24 hours a day, a courtyard with mediterranean terrace and a modern equipped conference room for up to 25 persons.
The last investment was a computer network and computers in all guestrooms which enable our guests to surf in their rooms - and for free.
In 1986 Mr. Dieter Hanauer became Mr. Mummes manager. Since the 90s he developed and realized an art conception inspirated by the Classical Modernism and the Bauhaus philosophy.
Similar to a gallery he presents posters of the work of art of Kandinsky, Miró, Picasso and Dalí in the corridors. Other painters works of Classical Modernism adorn the guestrooms. All these pictures are embedded in an ensemble of colourful and artstically designed details and establish together with them the charming and individual atmosphere and personality of the Art-Hotel Charlottenburger Hof.

You will find a lot of shops in the adjacent shopping mall "Wilmersdorfer Strasse". The best restaurant scene nearby is 1 stop by the S-Bahn at and around Savigny Platz.
The hotels district is called Charlottenburg - one of the oldest parts of the town in the western city centre. A 25 min walk leads you to the famous "Charlottenburg Castle". On this walk you cross the "Kietz" of the district: typical buildings, small shops and bars, pubs - and typical people!
The Art-Hotel Charlottenburger Hof is very well connected to all public transports. The railway station "Zoologischer Garten" is 2 S-Bahn stops away and the airport (TXL) bus stops at 100 m from the Hotel.

We offer 19 single rooms, 19 double rooms, 3 double rooms "deLuxe" and 5 family rooms. About 60 % of the rooms are non-smoking rooms.All rooms are equipped with bathrooms - mostly with shower/toilet, some of them with tub/toilet, and in the "DeLuxe" category with jacuzzi in the bathroom.
All rooms have cable and SAT TV, computer plug in for laptops, computer with internet access (without charge) and DSL high speed technology, self dial telephone.

In the building there is a restaurant, the "Miró". It is open 24 hours a day and offers traditional german, international and vegetarian cuisine.It also offers just a snack for in the meantime.
There is a street terrace where you can watch the hustle and bustle of the town. Or you prefer the quiet atmosphere of the hotels courtyard with plants and mediterranean terrace - perhaps in a hot sommernight having a candle light dinner with friends .
You will take your breakfast in the restaurant "Miró". There is a bufet between 7 and 11 a.m. But also in the afternoon you still have the chance to get a breakfast - then a continental one.
