Hotel Villa Kastania - Berlin, Germany     

Leider kein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Kleines Hotel mit winzigem Spa-Bereich. Bei Anwesenheit von mehreren Personen droht Überfüllung. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber nichts besonderes. Das Frühstück ist für 14€ eine Frechheit. Die Lage ist sicherlich als Wohnort gut, allerdings nicht ideal für einen Hotelaufenthalt. Viel zu weit vom "Stadtleben" entfernt. Es gibt in Berlin sehr viel bessere Hotels zu gleichen oder sogar meist günstigeren Preisen.

Good, if compact, sauna steam room and exercise area with free apples and German Newspapers. Ask for slippers, bathrobes and extra towels at reception. The swimming pool is long enough for exercise swimming before breakfast, and though it is only wide enough for three, that was enough. Breakfast buffet was one of the best German style we have eaten, with cooked British components also available. All the staff were very helpful, and the inadequacy of our German was no problem. The room had a nice balcony and mini kitchen. Internet access was only partially working during our stay, but they were getting it fixed. We were too busy to have dinner in the hotel as planned, which we much regretted, and will certainly sample it next time as it looked good and sensibly produced for small numbers. Amazing low internet price for a capital city.
