Villa di Sorrento - Sorrento, Italy 

I stayed at the villa di sorrento in june. We had a conference at the hilton. Advantages: the main advantage is its location, at the tasso square. The rooms have a/c and once the balcony door is shut ( we were on the first floor), very little noise goes through - the breakfast which was included in the rate was OK: cheese, croissants, cake, juices, corn flakes. Cappucino was very good. Nice plates, wery clean - clean rooms and very clean hotel. Tile floor in the rooms - great value for the rate ( 112 euro/night, breakfast included). Disadvantages: -small rooms, I guess this is common for Europe - no bathtub and the shower had a curtain only which kind of sticks to you once you turn on the water. Small area for the shower -the front desk personnel was not very helpful with directions or advice and one lady was quite rude. Did not remember her name In conclusion, it is a very good hotel for the price and I would probably stay again especially for the location and the cleanliness

We stayed in one of the balcony rooms, just passing through, for 1 night. ..absolutely completely lovely. depends what you're looking for. we didn't expect or look for fancy that night. small place, no band downstairs, no pool, no massage, no hovering waiters, no in house restaurant/bar but great bed & well appointed very comfortable cozy room with terrific view. perfect location just off main sorrento [tasso] square. delt with angela via email to set it up. she was there and was very sweet and delightful to speak with. if you don't want fancy smancy & can do without glitz this is the place. 'had a not inexpensive but completely fabulous lunch at restaurant next door. great flavors and wonderful local wine. i hope to go back there.
