Hotel Washington - Amsterdam, Netherlands 

We stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel is nice, very close to tram stop and museum area. Price is good for an Amsterdam hotel. Breakfast is average. There is no elevator and the staicase is steep. The sheets were ok but the bed covers were rather smelly. The personel watches with wireless cameras the breakfast room and the staircase, leaving you with the impression that your room may be watched too. I will stay in an other hotel next time.

I had to rate this hotel average due to the size of the room I had, a little small for the money. I also had to rate it average due to the fact that they were doing construction next door due to a leaky roof. (Which they did not inform me about, however apologized for later.) I would however, recommend this hotel for the location, right near the museums, Van Gogh, etc., and easy access to canal trips. The breakfast was good and the staff seemed friendly enough. Heed their warning that the stairs are steep in the hotel and remember to pack light there.
