For Amsterdam this was a reasonably priced hotel, but the rooms are a little dated. I would stop here again but I do think its a little overpriced for what you get (which I guess is true for any hotel in Amsterdam). The breakfast I thought was excellent but the stairs are very steep and if you have any mobility problmes this is not the hotel for you.
It is centrally located and easy to find, its only 5 minutes walk from Dam square and assuming that you haven't much luggage is walkable from the Central Station. I found the owners/ staff very friendly.
