Park Hotel Tokyo - Tokyo, Japan 

This was my husband and my first trip to Japan - on our own. Staying at this hotel was a perfect base. Our day tours picked us up from the lobby plus access to the JR, subway and every train line you can image. (note: it took me several days to learn the system and once we got it it's super easy and convenient.) Location: Near upscale Ginza, location was a good start to get around Tokyo and beyond (like we did to Kamakura) I agree with other reviewers - nightlife is hard to find - need to go to Shibuya or Shinjuku for that. Consider the location a business location but the peace is welcomed after long days. Room: Room was clean but a bit smaller than our Kyoto hotel room. But after long hot days, the room was perfect. The bed was super comfy and bathroom was great. I already miss the heated toilets. Service: They staff was super pleasant and excellent. Before arriving, the concierge arrange getting tickets for a Tokyo Giants game for us. I can not complain as for their service was the best I have experienced and I travel a lot to know. Overall: You can not go wrong with this choice. If I return (crossing my fingers I do) I would return.

This hotel was a great find. The rooms were a reasonably spacious given Tokyo standards, and I would definitely stay here again. Ginza is a short walk away, and the hotel is near Shimbashi station (a major train hub). However, I would caution you if you are seeking nightlife. The hotel is tucked in amongst a cluster of office buildings so you won't find bars and clubs right outside your door. You'll either have to walk to Ginza or grab a train.
