Park Hotel Centro Congressi - Potenza, Italy     

We were a party of 8 and we stayed in Potenza as we wanted to visit a small town nearby (Avigliano). We stayed at the Park Hotel for 2 nights. The staff was friendly, the rooms were new and clean... you could smell new carpeting, the rooms and bath were immaculate. You had control over the air conditioning in the room. Really don't have anything bad to say about the hotel itself. However, location is off the Autostrada and there really isn't anything within walking distance except the Autogrill next door which is great for a sandwich/snacks. Then again, not sure we were missing anything by not being in Potenza. Bartenders were nice and when we ordered drinks, we were treated to plates of cheese, olives, bruschetta, peanuts, etc. Front desk staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was typical Europoean continental fare, nothing special but nothing bad either. If I had a reason to return to this area, would definitely stay here again.
