Palazzo Alabardieri address: Via Alabardieri 38, Naples, 80121

Palazzo Alabardieri details: Strategically positioned between the historic centre and the promenade in one of the most elegant parts of Naples, this historic palace from 1870 has been refurbished to offer all comforts.

The hotel, with its imposing hall decorated with beautiful stuccoes and marbles, provides a unique and relaxed atmosphere, despite its position in the heart of the city centre close to famous restaurants and nightclubs.

Leisure guests can enjoy proximity to the most prestigious streets in Naples, where all the famous Italian fashion design stores, antiques galleries and renowned coffee bars are situated.

The hotel is also an ideal base for business guests: the conference hall has been planned to satisfy any request for business meetings; the 3 meeting rooms are modulated and poly-functional, providing innovative equipment. Furthermore, adjacent to the main conference halls is a smaller reunion room, ideal for meetings for a maximum of 20 people.

We stayed at the Palazzo Alabardieri for one night and we wished that we had time to stay longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful - the room was beautiful, clean and well appointed - breakfast was bountiful and served in a beautiful room. The neighborhood, Chiaia is lovely and safe - close to the waterfront area of Santa Lucia and near great shops. We had a hectic trip into Naples by car (have never seen greater chaos on the streets of any city - and we have lived in NYC and Mexico City!! - there are no rules to Neopolitan driving !) The hotel was an oasis away from the crazy streets of the City. I would go back in a minute. There are several good restaurants in the neighborhood as well - the Piazza di Trieste e Trento is right down the street and there is a beautiful outdoor restaurant on the piazza.

The 3 day break was a birthday present, and courtesy of this hotel, will go down as one of the best I've received. Having read the reviews on here I thought the hotel would have a lot to live up to, but it most surely did that. We had booked a double room for the duration of our stay, but on arrival found that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite - a move met with much hand clapping by me when I saw the room. It was clean, stylish, luxurious and whilst there was no view to speak of, I cared not a jot being more than happy just to survey the suite from the comfort of the huge bed. We sampled room service every day, and received courteous attention from every member of staff who we came into contact with. There was no language barrier to overcome, always a warm welcome and full and honest information as to how to get the best out of Naples, including making sure we knew in advance how much we could expect to pay for the private car journeys we opted for. (Driving in Naples should only be for those who have previous expereince of Grand Prix action/Stock Car Driving/Video Games - preferably all 3). The facilities were fabulous, the food and beverages required by us were more snack based but were still great and it's position on the lively and up-market Via Alabardieri was excellent, not to mention the suprising peace and calm of the building's former occupation as a convent that had stayed and created this real haven in a bustling city. This is a most definite and hearty recommendation to use the Palazzo Alabardieri if you are ever in Naples.
