This hotel is very close to the main train station in Sorrento (literally the first one you come to) which made it very convenient for getting the early train to Pompei, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The staff at the hotel were friendly (except for one receptionist). The breakfast was good, room was nice, clean and had a decent sized ensuite.
I would recomend this hotel if you are thinking of using Sorrento as a base for other site seeing such as those places mentioned above. The beach in Sorrento is a long walk down a hill and would be a pain if you had to carry bags etc up and down each day. The one afternoon we had in Sorrento we were amazed to see that there was an 8 euro charge per person to get onto the beach (not sure if there is another free beach nearby).
Overall, I would recomend this hotel.
