Stayed for 3 nights with my wife (double room) my daughter and sister in law (twin room) and would rate this probably the best hotel for ambience and friendly professional service I have ever stayed at. The rooms were luxuriously furnished and finished, and for hotel rooms quite spacious, we had a great view over tiled rooftops. The reception area also very tastefully decorated, I almost expected to see Audrey Hepburn sweep through on her way to her room. We had 2 different concierges during our stay who looked the part and were very helpful and professional. They both directed us to some great eating places in the area. The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty and the waitress service was spot on. Not sure of cost my sister in law paid - always a bonus! The position is great for exploring the lanes around San Marco and Rialto - you can get nicely lost, but not too lost! One tip if you can afford it, catch a water taxi from the airport or station, the difference between being delivered to the canal front door against dragging suitcases through the back lanes of Venice is well worth it, as is the ride into Venice against a Vaporetto
