Hotel La Fenice et Des Artistes - Venice, Italy     

Great hotel tucked away just round the corner from San Marco. Rooms are spacious with traditional venetian design, but can get quite hot which the air conditioning did not seem to resolve, but after turning down the radiator and leaving the window a jar throughout the day it seemed bearable. The breakfast in the morning provides a wonderful selection of yoghurt, cereal, juice, coffee, pastries, ham, cheese, jams, and every different variation of tea that you can imagine! The only warning I would give is that each room has a connecting door to the next room, and the walls seem very thin meaning you can hear a lot.... Other than that, this hotel provided a great base in a great location. I would recommend venturing over to Santa Croce for some wonderful food though, and if you are looking for a bit of a lively night, there is a square which we stumbled upon on that side of Rialto bridge where the market is during the day which was buzzing with the italian students drinking in the various bars which appear later on in the evening.

We recently spent 3 nights in the Hotel La Fenice et deas Artistes and want to thank all the staff there for making our visit so enjoyable. The hotel was ideally located and our room were very clean and confortable. We particularly appreciated the prompt responses to our email enquiries before we arrived and the efficient booking of the water taxi to take us to the airport. We would not hesitate to reccomend the hotel to anyone to stay in Venice.
