We stayed at this hotel for three night in August, 2007. I chose it because of the location, the low price and the fact that it offered twin beds. I booked the hotel about three weeks prior to our arrival date.
The hotel is about a three minute walk from the Venice Santa Lucia train station and the vaporetto stops. Tons of banks, tourist shops and places to eat in the area. You can walk to the Piazzo San Marco in about 30 or 40 minutes and the route is marked with arrows the entire way.
Our room was on the first floor. Basic room with two beds, an armoire, bed-side tables and a TV. The bathroom is small but servicable. For what I paid and considering this was Venice, I was pleased. Sometimes, the hotel staff were not at the front desk but if you called out, someone always showed up in a few seconds.
The front desk staff said nothing about breakfast or a breakfast room though by that point, I was sick of Italian breakfasts so that did not matter.
FYI - the hotel only accepts cash though various booking websites state that they accept credit cards. Given the price, I would be willing to stay here again.

After getting our booking rearranged by hostelbookers.com because of some problems at another hotel, we turned up at hotel Adua for 1 night to find that similar to others comment here we were led (begrudgingly by a woman with very little english) to the famous building next door, down the alley and up the stones staircase to the "hostel" (apparently we were told the next day this was not hotel adua but a hostel, although we still can't find this "hostel" online!! Our room was a double bed alright, but without a tv, and instead of a window there was only a french door opening onto an eiry inside courtyard/terrace which meant we had to close ourselves in at night with the ceiling fan on for relieve from the heat, which was unbearable! We also had to use a shared bathroom although our original booking was for private and when we went to pay and complain that our stay was terrible, we were dismissed out of hand that our room was fine, and this receptionist then had the cheek to wish us a good trip!! Should have walked out the door the minute we saw our room!
