Based on extremely favorable tripadvisor reviews, my wife and I chose Caesar House Residenze Romane for our 6-day Rome vacation at the end of June/first week of July. In our opinion, this was, by far, THE BEST accommodations and hospitality that we have ever experienced.
From our arrival to our departure, Caesar House exceeded all expectations. The attention to every detail, combined with the warmth and feeling of family shown by the staff, make this place, one, which rises above all others.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Colosseum and Roman Forum are within a very short walking distance. There are restaurants, bars, and retail and convenience stores, just outside the front door of the hotel.
Our room was extremely spacious, with 10-foot high ceiling, large bathroom with large bath, large storage space, in-room safe, and fridge. It was tastefully decorated, modern, in extremely good condition, very clean, quiet, and air conditioned. Our bed was large and comfortable. The hotel provided a nice toiletry bag, including slippers. I brought my laptop on our trip, and the free wireless in-room Internet access worked perfectly. Otherwise, they do provide a computer, with Internet access, in a large common room – living room/den, with comfortable couch, large table and chairs.
Breakfast (included) was perfect, as one gets to select from a wide menu, the day/night before, and breakfast arrives exactly on time, every single morning. Hot boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bread with assorted jams, and hot tea with lemon and honey - exactly what we would normally have at home, was provided in the comfort of our hotel room.
Having said all of this, the key aspect of what makes this hotel the very best, is the staff. My wife and I checked in, late in the day. We were greeted by a sweet, very pleasant, and cheerful host, Giulia. Giulia sat with us at the table in the den, and suggested places to visit, while we relaxed, having a nice pot of herbal tea, which she had offered, upon our arrival. Giulia provided a large map of Rome, and marked, not only the tourist areas, but the “hidden gems”, which tourists may miss, along with description and background for each, with the suggested route. This was done in a very respectful manner that was left to us to decide whether or not to explore. The adventure of discovering these places of interest, some off the beaten path, made our vacation, the most enjoyable of all. Other hosts – Youni (very nice man), Simona, and Rosanna were extremely helpful and courteous. Each of them made us feel like part of their family.
On one occasion, we had left the hotel to visit the Roman Forum, when we realized that we had forgotten something in our room. Upon return to our room, we found the bed made and the entire room completely cleaned. What was totally shocking was that we had only left our room about 15-20 minutes beforehand. On another occasion, we mentioned, the evening prior, that we had booked a tour for the next morning, and that we would be leaving the hotel, well before breakfast service started. Immediately, Giulia and Youni offered to stock our fridge with breakfast, so that we would not be leaving, without having a meal to start our day. This personalized service and care, further added to our appreciation of the staff’s hospitality.
We will always have very fond memories of our vacation in Rome, because of our stay at Caesar House. Everything was perfect and more – 150%.
We would definitely recommend Caesar House Residenze Romane to our friends and family, and will definitely stay there, the next time that we are in Rome.

After reading the great reviews of this hotel, we stayed at the Caesar and was not disapointed. As mentioned in a previous review, it's feels more like a B&B, very quite (considering it's location), friendly and personal. The staff were excellent and were a wealth of information on where to go and how to get there. Travelling with an 18 month old we stayed in the 1 bedroom suite, which had a fully functional kitchen, although was not required with the numerous restaurants surrounding the hotel! Located across from the Forum and within easy walking distance to most sites the Caesar House really is a hidden gem!
