Days Hotel - Tullamore, Ireland 

Stayed two nights in Tullamore for a weekend break and had a great time . The town itself is excellent some beautiful restaurants hidden away off the main street , e went to the Anatolia which i must say is a hidden gem . We stayed in the Days , i have stayed in a few in the states and theyare normally pretty poor but i found this one to be suprisingly luxurious and wel kept . The breakfast room is very tastefully decorated and the food selection is above average. The rooms are excellent , they are pristine and all linen etc is of a very high standard Price wise this is the best value in Tullamre and i did shop around

I was attending a conference at Tullamore Court Hotel,. They would not give me a single room rate so I booked into Days Hotel via laterooms site for €70 inc breakfast. It did mean a 10- minute walk each morning...I thought this was a pretty good deal and I think I ended up with the better hotel. I did not realize that there is a different franchise of Days inn and Days hotels. The hotels are great if they are all like this one. Lovely big queen size bed dormer windows overlooking street, work desk, free internet , Satellite TV, (BYO cable), separate alcove before the doorway to the bathroom which is a nice feature and this space also includes a coat rack area and suitcase box. Bath and shower. Restaurant and bar is fine nothing too exciting. LIDL is across the road w3ich is where i stocked up on my essentials: wine, water, tissues etc If I ever have reason to return to Tullamore, I would stay here again. You are also close to the big shopping centre and Dunnes.
