Hotel Palma - Pula, Croatia 

We had a nice clean room with great views of the Marina. The whole hotel could do with an upgrade though! Would NOT recommend doing half-board as the food and service in the restaurant are terrible. There is not alot of nightlife for younger people but Pula is a nice town and it's nice to have cocktails in the forum and I would highly recommend the restaurant La Scaletta near the ampitheatre. Histria pool is nicer and quiter than the one at Punta Verudela. Overall, it was a good value holiday and my fried and I enjoyed our week there.

Arrived late due to flight delays to be greeted with "you have missed evening meal but you can get food nearby". Given a double rather than twin room that was booked but to be fair this was changed the next morning by the one member of the reception staff that spoke good english. The room was large and adequate, food very average. The beware is that drinks with your evening meal can only be purchsed in the restuarant, this includes water. We were charghed 200 kuna (£20) for 2 small botles of wine - it cost us 40k at all other bars and cafes for the same drinks. Also since we were not leaving until 5pm. we enquired about keeping the room for a few extra hours. This would have been possible at a charge of 4100k(£41) , a little excessive we thought as the b/b rate for the room was 3800k. Did enjoy the stay at the resort, Good pool with great views, food in the terrace attaced to the pool is good and very reasonably priced. E&D bar/restuarant well worth visiting. The people were very friendly.
