The hotel is spotless; comfortable and the staff very friendly. However the music bar is badly located under some guest rooms which meant that the music was hushed at 10pm and finished at 11pm.....much too soon for the irish who like to gather and chat / drink / sing until at least 1pm.....

We had a wonderful time and were very pleased with the Tirena.
The Hotel is situated in a wooded peninsula 3 Miles from the old town of Dubrovnik and beside a small shopping mall containing souvenir shops and Bars.
Its a low rise hotel (only 2 floors), comfortable and very clean. We had a buffet Breakfast and evening meal which had a range to suit everyone. All the staff were very welcoming, nothing was a problem. Each day we got the Number 6 Bus into the old town of Dubrovnik which was 10 Mins. away. (approx ?1.20 each way) The Hotel pool is lovely and there is a short walk to the Copacabana or Cava "beach" , which being Croatia, consists of shingle and concrete so our advice would be to buy some rubber shoes at the local souvenir shop!
A small word of warning, They are building a new Hotel next door this summer so be prepared for some building noise during the day but the pace of building is slow and the disruption not too obtrusive.
