Sol Koralj - Umag, Croatia 

We booked to stay at Sol Koralj with Thomson. This hotel is very clean and beautiful. The staff were really friendly on the check in and also when we had any queries. The rooms were cleaned daily and the rest of the hotel always looked nicely presented. The rooms were of a reasonable size with nice comfortable beds. We also had a balcony, which over looked a wooded area, with the sea in the distance. Look out for the red squirrels, they’re everywhere! One even scampered along our balcony! We enjoyed the food in the hotel and it was always cooked well, often with some dishes being cooked infront of your eyes for you. If you get the chance the spa is well worth a visit. My partner and I both had reflexology, which was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay

I went for a week to this hotel - I'm 45, Scottish - booked with Thomsons. It was a quiet resort as it was near the end of the season. I had a lovely relaxing time. Hotel is very clean, rooms are big with super kingsize bed. Staff are courteous and helpful. Food is plentiful but not outstanding. The outside pools aren't heated but well maintained and sea water. Lots of sunloungers, umbrellas, towels etc. Most of the other guests were Russian, German and Italian. The Thai spa was a total haven for treatments and relaxation. There's a heated indoor pool and a few small saunas as well as a full gym. There's a little road train that runs regularly into Umag, the nearest town - takes about 5 minutes. Went on a fantastic day trip to Venice. Was picked up at 6am but well worth it for a quick taste of Venice. There was entertainment in the hotel every night which was fun.
