I have recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Hotel Pasike, an excellent small hotel in the centre of Trogir and can only agree with all the previous excellent reviews about this hotel on Trip Advisor. 7 rooms and an apartment spread over 3 floors with a small terrace on the 3rd floor with fantastic views over Trogir, all the rooms are well furnished with dark wood furniture but with mod cons such as safe, mini bar, air con etc. My room, described as the "little room", was not so little - big enough for a double bed and with 2 large windows, it was extremely comfortable. I tried the hotel restaurant my first evening in Trogir and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. However, due to the large number of excellent restaurants in Trogir, I didn't manage to visit it again as I wanted to try as many of the other restaurants as I could but there are so many I would have needed at least another week in Trogir! The hotel also offers free transport from and to the airport, or free car parking if you travel in your own car. In addition, the bottle of homemade rakija in the room and the cookies on the pillow on arrival are a nice touch. The rakija is particularly recommended if you have problems sleeping! Trogir itself is a joy - lots of small alleyways and narrow passages leading to terraces with restaurants and café bars; lots to see just walking around. Lots of churches, a cathedral, a fortress and fantastic boats and yachts to look at whilst having a glass of wine, I found Trogir to be an excellent place to chill out. Split is easy to reach either by local bus or direct bus; about a 45 minute journey. If you use the local bus (no. 37), it arrives at the suburban bus station in Split which is a 15-20 minute walk into the old town. The direct buses arrive at the main bus station near the ferry terminal so it's not so far to walk to the centre. Although I didn't travel further afield, it's easy to travel to Sibenik and other towns from Trogir. I thoroughly recommend Trogir for a relaxing holiday and would definitely go there again and stay at the Pasike.
