Complejo Turistico La Garganta details:
An old flour factory dating from the year 1827 was totally reformed in order to offer the visitor all the amenities and comfort of a modern hotel. The cosy rooms, mixing in their decoration traditional elements with minute details of design, all have a small living area and views of the natural surroundings of the “Desfiladero de los Gaitanes” – a beautiful gorge. Some of the rooms have two floors, making use of the enormous interior height of the old building.

Location
Admired by King Alfonso XIII, the magnificent and impressive landscape offers landmarks like Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, a limestone gorge, just 10 metres wide on some spots and around 700 metres deep, carved by the Guadalhorce River. It was dammed in 1921, forming 3 reservoirs flanked by pine forests.
The area is most famous as being one of the best rock climbing areas in Europe, but is also very popular for mountain biking, hiking, and camping, and where you can spot eagles, Royal vultures, Spanish ibex and other endangered species.
The gorge, the Arab ruins of Bobastro and Ardales cave are just a walk away from the hotel.
