Hotel De L'europe - Paris, France 

Stayed here in December 2007 and again June 2008. Staff remembered us and as before were all very helpful. Room was exactly as we expected and overlooked Boulevard de Magenta. With a bit of a twist I could see Sacre Coeur in the distance. Breakfast was included in our pre-booked rate and is a good start to the day (basic continental style but perfectly adequate). Now the weather:- We have been to Paris many many times but never experienced overnight temperatures in the high 70s. It was so humid, it was difficult to get cool. Sleep was a non event as the hotel does not have air-con. It hasn't put us off though - and I'm sure we will be back in the winter.

I stayed with my boyfriend at his hotel and I recommended it for couples. The desk staff was very friendly, they have internet service. The room was clean, light, organized with a nice bathroom. It has 2 big metro and RER stops in less than 5 minutes walking. The breakfast was too simple, just coffee, juice, croissants and bread, so you better want to eat in all the restaurants that are close to the hotel. The location is ok, in the 10e neighborhood. You can reach Paris down town in 5 mins by metro. Walking distance to the Sacre Coeur Basilica, my favorite place in Paris.
