Hotel Du Parc - Paris, France     

the room was very small but, very clean, the bed was very comfterable and the shower was very clean also. we recomend this hotel for a couple that looking for a good hotel to sleep in.

This is a modest but very comfortable hotel in a great location; just a stone's throw from the Montparnasse rail station where you can access all trains (trans regional ones and the TGV, as well as the Paris Metro) and in an area with many good restaurants. Our room faced a courtyard and was quiet despite the central location, and we had a nice cross breeze so it was cool at night even though there was 30 degree C. heat this May in Paris!! A continental breakfast was available in the hotel's own dining room for a modest extra sum (5 euros--which we found was cheaper than a simple cafe au lait in an outside cafe). The staff was charming and very helpful (A++++ for this aspect!! ). The only downside was that the elevator was tiny and available only after climbing 2 flights of curving stairs. But they will be modernizing the hotel this summer I understand, so no doubt this will be improved. We can recommend this hotel without hesitation!! Gordon and Jinny Whitehead, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
