I go to Paris once a year with my Mother to the Roland Garros Tennis tournament. We chose this hotel this year because it's close to the stadium and we just need a place to rest our heads.
On arrival we had to stand in the lobby for 15 minutes before anybody came. This was at 5pm Paris time and no one was around to welcome us or check us in.
Finally a lovely man arrived with great English (even though I made sure to attempt to speak French first!) He more than made up for the wait to be honest. He was pleasant, friendly and eager to chat.
I have to say I thought the winding stairs was lovely walking up around the tiny old fashioned elevator, which i thought was a nice antique touch to an old Parisian hotel.
The room was basic. I didn't exactly pay a lot of money to stay there so i didn't expect much else. Twin beds. Clean sheets. Clean towels. Nothing else to say.
The shower was fine too.
Overall, it stood me well because I got up every morning, had the simple breakfast of coffee and croissant and spent the day at the tennis only returning at midnight to sleep.
I'd recommend it for the tennis but for Paris itself it's a bit out of the way.
