My mom and I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and loved it. The rooms are a bit tiney but so is every other room in Paris. On the other hand, the hotel is extremely clean, well maintained with a charming safari/chic motif. We found the staff to be extremly helpful and very friendly, we spent a lot of time just talking and chatting away with the staff. The hotel is in a great location if you don't mind taking the metro (5 minute walk from the hotel) to get to the major tourist areas, however I suggest taking the bus, you get to see the streets and it's much nicer than the metro. If you enjoy walking, you can take Rue the Renne down towards St. Germain & St. Michelle which are full of shops and cafe's. We found this neighborhood to be very safe as well.

As other reviews have stated this is a pleasant enough hotel which is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to Denfert Rochereau and walking distance to Montparnasse. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants near by especially on Rue Daguerre. What lets the hotel down though is the size of the rooms. We'd booked a standard room (maybe the superior are worth it?) via the Eurostar website and checking on Tripadvisor saw that this hotel was voted the 9th best in Paris for romance. Reviews stated that rooms were small, but I figured that this wasn't too much of a problem. Well, the room was so small that it was difficult to get round the bed without banging into the furniture. There were no drawers in the room, the bedside had two tables and the wardrobe only had hangers. The bed was two singles pushed together - not my preferred option, but also made up as two twins rather than as a double. Also the beds had sheets and blankets rather than duvets. The bathroom was OK, but again no little touches to make it stand out . The bath itself was also in need of a little TLC in terms of renovation. That doesn't equal romance in my book! So ultimately we felt a little let down. It's a great area and with a little more effort the hotel could have really been a little romantic treat, but it's fairly average.
