Dining

Being surrounded by a sea of green olive trees, the Restaurant La Pintada always prepares its dishes using extra virgin olive oil, giving the cuisine all the touch and personality of this products.

As proof of this, before your meal the hotel will offer you some of the best oils of the Jaén region. Chef Xavi Xufré's menu also reflects the imaginative cuisine which still respects the traditional culture.

Having made a booking over the phone, we arrived late one night to find that we had been misunderstood and there was only a small double rather than a family room available. They couldn't have been nicer, apologising profusely and arranging for a mattress on the floor and then giving us a bigger room the next day. They didn't charge us for the first night either. The hotel is in a tastefully converted old house, and is definitely four star accommodation. Baeza itself is a lovely old town, worth spending a few days in and around.
