I booked five nights in the Alanda over the Easter vacation and paid the extra for a superior room (& if that was a superior room I wouldn't have liked to have seen a standard room) which should have included the use of the spa and sunbeds etc. It was only after three days of the holiday that we realised that we were being charged for everything and it took several visits to the manager to sort it out. The hotel is in separate blocks and you actually have to go outside and walk across the car park to get to your room. I found this one of the most unrelaxing holidays I have ever had because of the attitude of the hotel staff, everything seemed to be too much trouble for them, especially the restaurant staff. I would definitely not return.

We live in Spain and have found NH hotels to offer a good standard at reasonable prices . Our stay at the Alanda confirmed this . For best prices it is best to look and book through the NH web site - price for two including breakfast on a busy weekend was 130? inc VAT /night along with complementary access to the spa. Though we were allocated perhaps the worst standard room (ground floor, road facing) the room was large, well appointed , and sound proofed. ample free parking and a good pool . Should the road be of concern insist on a room in building 3. Other than road , the hotel location is excellent , in the middle of the "golden mile" and barely 5 minutes easy walk to the beach. Officially a 5 star it warrants 4 .
