The first good thing is that the hotel is not too far from Johannesburg. So, the drive to and fro the airport is not too bad. But the staff is what makes this hotel incredible. The people are warm, they are eager to please and you can tell that they really want you to enjoy yourself. At every corner, whether you are lost on the property or looking for something, someone will always pop up, asking you if he/she can help you.
The rooms are of a big size, and the restaurants good (although I would have liked to see more international food)- But both restaurants -Carnivore and Summerhouse- offer a variety of meals/dishes and you can switch from one to another as you like, specially if you are with kids.
The stuff sold in the shops is a bit pricey, but I guess one can always wait to go the craft market if not in a hurry. We had a wonderful experience, and it was one of the best stays (if not the best) of our entire trip throughout South Africa.
