Relais Palazzo Del Capitano details: Built in the 15th century by the Biringucci family, Relais Palazzo Del Capitano, after lengthy, careful and detailed restoration works, has regained the ancient splendour of a typical Tuscan palace.

Today the building is a charming hotel offering comfortable rooms, equipped with every comfort.

The Enoteca Ristorante Petessi takes its name from the former Capitano del Popolo of San Quirico d'Orcia who lived in this building in the 15th century. The former stables, which have retained their original vaulted ceilings, have been converted into a restaurant room with bar and a large fireplace. In this welcoming atmosphere or under the shade of olive trees guests can enjoy dishes based on traditional Tuscan recipes. The cellar, discovered during the restoration, guards a wide selection of fine wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Nobile di Montepulciano and the local Orcia d.o.c. During summer meals will be served in our beautiful private garden.

The Trattoria Al Vecchio Forno, just a short distance from the hotel but also owned by the hotel proprietors, is a traditional Tuscan restaurant with 2 dining rooms, spread over 2 floors. There is a fireplace to warm the cold winter nights and a delightful garden for the summer and romantic candlelit dinners. Here you can enjoy traditional, regional home made dishes (home made pasta, cakes, soups) with a fine selection of excellent local wines.
