On the whole the hotel was very nice, fantastic location right on the beach,(wide ,sandy & uncrowded). we had a double and single bed in our room ,our 4 year old son was with us,and so the room was quite cramped, I'm not sure if they have family rooms /suites as we booked a basic room with travel republic online then upgraded to a sea view direct with the hotel. Food was good,we had half board, good choice of buffet, caters for spanish/russian/french,not for brits which suited us fine,if you're looking for britsh food then this is not for you.fab breakfast,.The hotel is just outside Cambrils(half hour stroll) but the bus stop is right outside the hotel took you to the resort in a few minutes and bus fare is very cheap.Cambrils is a very nice resort ,more upmarket than Salou with lovely shops & boutiques. we went to port adventura theme park which was 10 minutes away on the bus & great fun. only downside was that the kids club didnt start till 20th june,we returned 14th!! and apart from a small playground and play room,not much to keep kids entertained.luckily the weather was mostly hot so we were on the beach , the pool is nice,but the water was freezing! .The staff were very friendly and spoke some English ,we rented pool towels and a safe which I would reccomend. there is an indoor shopping centre in Tarragona(45 mins on bus) if you do get rain! the hotel is only 15-20 mins by taxi from Barcelona Reuss airport or you could get a bus straight there. If you want to be in the centre of Cambrils then I would check out hotel Monica, but for the price we paid we were more than satisfied(and we are very fussy!!!) hope this helps.
