I was pleasantly surprised by the Almirante Farragut. The hotel itself is a lot nicer than you usually get with package holidays, it has a nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds and there are activities to keep you amused if the weather is not too great. I think the food could be better though (although maybe that is because i object to being served pigs' trotters or calves' liver for breakfast!) I would recommend eating out as there are some very nice restaurants in Cala Forcat and the choice in the hotel can get a bit boring after a while.
The resort is nice, very family friendly, and there is loads going on. Plus it is not overrun with drunken British tourists. Its also worth taking a trip to Cituadella in the evening to visit the markets.

Check in / front desk
10.0
We stayed at the above Hotel for 2 weeks H/B in july 2008. The Hotel was excellent, we arrived tired just after 10pm tired, we were ushered through to the restaurant for refreshments.
Our room was nice and clean and had air conditioning that worked well, as the temperature averaged 30 degrees. The hotel
had a lot of Spanish guests that reflected how good it was.
There are three swimming pools, a large pool, intermediate and small toddlers pool, a lifeguard was on duty at all times.
Daytime entertainment centred mainly around the intermediate pool. ie water polo for the children and the adults, mini games
for the children ie golf putting velcro darts shuffleboard Etc.
For the adults Air rifle shooting, archery petanque, pistol shooting. All activities were safely organised by proffesional staff.
Evening entertainment was a mixture of in house staff performing, tribute acts, a parrot show, and a very good Chinese Circus act that we saw on the last friday, their was also quizzes and bingo.
The food was excellent with something for everybody, a wide selection of well prepared food.
Our Holiday was booked with First Choice.
