Stayed at the Alta as it was near friends who live in Prague but i would recommend it to tourists who want to see all the tourist sights.
There is a tram right outside or a metro statio a short walk/tram ride away.
Hotel was faultless. Bedroom was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Reception were always very helpful and gave us lots of free guide books when we arrived. The breakfast was wonderful and we went to the restaurant for dinner twice and were impressed both times.
Would recommed to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to booking a hotel in the city centre.

After extensive review on TripAdvisor, we decided to book our 5 night stay in Prague with Hotel Alta. I was quite pleased with our choice. As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I immediately noticed how clean the hotel is. The receptionist and doorman were very friendly. There is a quite a nice spread for breakfast...eggs, sausages, assorted jams, yogurts, bread, fruits, juices. After a long day of trekking around lively Old Town, it was nice to come back to the quiet and safe area where Hotel Alta is located. It is an easy 7 min tram ride to Old Town. Note that there are very few restaurants in this area. We ate in the hotel a few times when we were too tired to get back on the tram. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend less than $100 a night for a good quality hotel. Worth every penny.
