Had a wonderful autumn weekend here. The hotel is charming in an old world setting. The park was magnificent for walks. The treatments in the spa were very professional (but you need to book in advance). It has one of the best restaurants in Germany (but you need to book weeks in advance) and even the less formal restaurant is excellent. We found the level of service was excellent (staff remembered our name) and lots of small details were attended to. Elegant and relaxing.

This place has a great and very quiet setting in a wonderful park. We enjoyed very much the historic and dignified atmoshere of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. It's just a real pity that the service provided was just not up to what one would expect. Personal was arrogant and not caring. Everyone seemed bored and not attentive at all. Repeatedly simple requests could not be fulfilled ... The combination of beautiful location, excellent food but terrible service at the same time is probably unique and makes me unsure if I would love or hate to come back !
