Location

The hotel is located right in the centre of Berlin, just a few minutes' walk away from Potsdamer Platz. Many of the city's most famous sights are within walking distance. Potsdamer Platz has a modern shopping mall, a casino and the musical theatre Bluemax (the Blue Man Group’s current venue). The Mauermuseum at Checkpoint Charlie gives a fascinating insight into the history of the city and the wall. The Reichstag - the seat of the German Parliament - can be reached easily, as can Berlin’s most famous symbol: the Brandenburg Gate.

All of the hotel’s spacious (30 m²) suites have a large bed and a comfortable sofa bed. Each suite has a modem connection for internet access, and wireless LAN internet access is available in some rooms upon request. Internet access does incur an additional fee. All suites are air conditioned and have a working area with desk and chair, TV, radio, 2 telephones, safe, kettle, microwave oven and refrigerator. Suitehotel offers stylish and very comfortable accommodations at reasonable rates. The rooms are huge (specially for a solo traveler) and very well appointed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Two caveats, however. One is that the breakfast is incredibly overpriced and pretty bad. The coffees are good, but the rest of the food, offered in little plastic cups, borders on gross. The free cake is better. At E.12, it's almost offensive. The other is that you should bring your own shampoo and conditioner - they only offer a combination shower gel/shampoo that doesn't work very well.

We have just stayed at this hotel for three nights and are so impressed. Probably one of the nicest, most modern rooms and spotlessly clean. Just across the road from the Anhalter station or a short taxi ride from the Hauptbahnhof. Just a short walk to Checkpoint Charlie and even a shorter to the remaining 200 metres of the Wall. Potsdammer Platz is also within walking distance. Very good Italian restaurant (Ristorante Marinelli) on the corner in the hotel building.
