Hotel Kipping - Dresden, Germany     

Ich war im Juli zweimal in Dresden und war hier somit zum 3. Mal. Ich finde es charmant und praktisch. Dies war das beste Frühstück, das ich in einem europäischen Hotel hatte. Ausgezeichnete Auswahl. Die Angestellten sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, auch wenn man nur wenig Englisch spricht. Die beiden Eigentümer sprechen sehr gutes Englisch und haben immer, immer versucht, mir zur Seite zu stehen. Die Angestellten sind super. Mein Zimmer war immer sehr zufriedenstellend. Für Europa ausgezeichnet. Geräumig, sauber und ruhig. Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe am Bahnhof und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich leicht mit der Bahn erreichen. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut, ich habe hier normalerweise nur ein Abendessen weil ich gerne neue Restaurants erkunde. Beim ersten Mal hier hatte ich Wild, ausgezeichnet. Leider war das beim letzten Mal nicht mehr auf der Speisekarte. Wenn ich in Dresden bin, dann übernachte ich immer hier. Dies ist eines von den 10% der Gebäude, die den Bombenhagel auf Dresden im 2. Weltkrieg überstanden haben.

This was the second and third time I stayed in this hotel when I came to Dresden for 2 different trips in July. I find it charming and convenient. Of all the breakfasts I have ever had in European hotels, this one takes first place. Excellent spread. The staff is very accomodating and helpful, even if their English is limited. The 2 owners speak a good amount of English and have always, always tried to help me. The staff is sweet. My room has always been more than satisfactory. Expecially by European standards. Spacious, clean, quiet. The hotel is very close to the train station and a short tram ride to all the sites. Their restaurant is very good, although one dinner there is usually enough as I like checking out other restaurants. (My first stay there I had reindeer: excellent! Sadly, it was not on the menu for my most recent visits.) When in Dresden, I will always go here. NOTE: This is one of only 10% of the buildings in Dresden that survived the bombings at the end of WWII.
