Stayed in the hotel on August 2007.
Location: Nothing to see in the hotel area. Didn't see even shops nearby. However, there are good tram connections from the historical centre to the hotel. The trip takes about 17 minutes from the main railway station, a little less from the historical center. The tram tickets are quite affordable in Dresden, so if you get a good price for the hotel, you easily save a lot of money.
Hotel & rooms: hotel is in very good shape, the rooms are very clean. The bathroom was spacious with a tub. We had quite a good view from the room, but obviously from many rooms you only can see the root of the hotel.
Breakfast: didn't take it. Costs 11€.
Sauna: there is a steam and a "normal" sauna in the hotel, the usage is included in the price. There is only one sauna, not a separate one for men and women. There also is a gym, but it's very very limited.

Das Plaza liegt in der Königsbrücker Straße, quasi einem Wohnviertel. Straßenbahn fährt fast vor dem Eingang - unbedingt zu empfehlen, kein Ärger mit teuren Parkhäusern! In wenigen Minuten ist man mit der Tram in der Innenstadt. Zu Fuß kann man die spannende Umgebung er"wandern".
Das Hotel selbst ist groß, großzügig und sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sauber und groß, elegant möbliert. Die Saune ist ab 17:00 Uhr geöffnet, im winter nach einem langen Tag auf den Füßen ein Segen!!!
Das Frühstück ist vergleichsweise dürftig. Kaffee in Thermoskannen erwartet man in der Preisklasse nicht unbedingt. Ebenso wie "Fruchtsalat" aus der Dose - na ja...., das Restaurant ist teuer, aber das Essen ist fein.
Das Personal ist höflich und aufmerksam, Sonderwünsche werden als das Selbstverständlichste behandelt. Sehr professionel - jederzeit gerne wieder.
